The warning storm has weakened below the strict limits and appears to be unable to generate a tornado, but gusts remain. Even this thunderstorm can cause wind and heavy rain.
Two main concerns by 7 pm: (1) a location south of I-70, where a thunderstorm gust can exceed 60 mph, and (2) between I-72 and I-74. And there is a simple low-end tornado threat in the narrow corridor east of I-55. #ILwx pic.twitter.com/tZzwIrjfM8
