Tornado warnings for parts of the province southwest of Saskatoon ended by 7:30 p.m.
A tornado warning issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada for parts of Saskatchewan around Kindersley, Rosetown and Biggar proved accurate Tuesday.
Social media lit up as people shared photos of the storm activity in areas southwest of Saskatoon through the evening.
Several people reported seeing funnel clouds in the area between the communities of Kindersley and Rosetown. Tornado warnings for the rural municipalities of Mountain View and Pleasant Valley ended by 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Hail was also reported as the storm system made its way through the region.
The weather system also produced mammatus cloud formations stretching right to Saskatoon.
